A Resolution
                  
        And now laid to rest
          another old year
         with memories past
        thoughts oh so dear.
                  
     The good times there were
       so short they did seem
        are warm in my heart
        though but a dream.
                  
         The bad times too
         shall long remain
           inside my mind
        as knowledge gained.
                  
        New friends I’ve met
       their love I’ve known
       somehow I feel they’ve
         helped me to grow.
                  
       Old friends I’ve had,
        though seldom seen,
         will always remain
           in my memory.
                  
      Equipped with yesterday
          I’m living today
          to face tomorrow
     its joys and its sorrows.
                  
         So be it resolved
       that this day shall be
     another new challenge. . .
          tomorrow’s memory.
