A Prayer For My Son
      On His Confirmation Day
                  
                  
          I pray this day
       that your faith in God
      be more than just words.
      That you live your faith
     in good times and in bad.
                  
      With this faith, I pray
       that you can have hope
      in a world where so many
         see only despair.
                  
        And with that hope,
       find it in your heart
    to be charitable to others.
                  
       That in your charity,
        others may see your
    love and caring as a reason
      to have faith and hope,
         and give charity.
                  
         Above all, I pray
        for God’s blessings
  to be part of your life forever.
